Toronto, ON – With Canada’s newest Prime Minister kicking off an energetic first year in office, and the U.S. presidential election just around the corner, the conversation around what makes a great leader is top of mind for many people. Recently, Robert Half Technology asked IT professionals which tech leaders they admire most. While a wide range of responses were given, three tech trailblazers prevailed: Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Jeff Bezos.


But what makes a great leader? IT workers weighed in when they were asked, “Which one of the following characteristics is most important for an IT leader to possess?” Their responses:


Trusts their employees and empowers them to make important decisions


Acts with honesty and integrity


Establishes a vision, is confident and believes they can make a difference


Radiates a positive attitude and inspires their employees


Innovates and pushes the envelope creatively
