Support for our community

Whether it’s an employee running a marathon to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society, regional teams coming together for a Food Bank Drive or a local office hosting mock interviews and offering career advice to students – at Robert Half, we actively give back to our communities.

Matching gifts

Joining Robert Half means joining our efforts to be an ethical corporate citizen. Our “Your Cause” online platform allows our employees to volunteer, donate or fundraise for charities around the world. Employees can support a charity individually or collaborate with their office to gather funds or volunteer their time, and Robert Half will match the dollars or hours they contribute.

Here are some of the recent activities that our staff has contributed towards:

Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)

In 2018, Robert Half Canada employees elected to support the CMHA with a three-year annual donation of $25,000. The CMHA supports more than 1.3 million Canadians through the combined efforts of more than 11,000 volunteers and staff in over 330 communities across the country, providing a range of mental health support to individuals and families. Our annual donation is used to promote mental health awareness, enhance workplace wellness research and make CMHA resources even more accessible to those who need them.

Dress for Success

Since 2005, we have proudly supported Dress for Success and its mission to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and tools to help them thrive in work and in life. By supporting the organization’s Career Centres, providing expert speakers for Professional Women’s Group meetings and offering access to more than 2,500 online training modules, Robert Half helps nurture the career growth of Dress for Success clients.

Suit Drive

We recognize the challenges job seekers face and understand the positive impact professional attire can have on their confidence. We work annually with employers, job candidates and business contacts to collect professional business clothing for those who may not be able to access or afford it. In 2020 and 2021, we supported the Suit Drive virtually because of the pandemic. Employees were asked to support Dress for Success Worldwide, one of its local affiliates or another organization of their choice by setting up a virtual walk, running, biking or doing yoga, then applying for volunteer grants.

Ronald McDonald House

More than 100 family members with seriously ill children stay at Ronald McDonald Houses so they can be close their children as they receive treatment. Our offices across Canada have volunteered to help cook dinner for these families to help alleviate some of their stress and give them a night off to spend time with their loved ones. Our teams love spending time with the community and preparing these special meals — and we always make sure to clean up afterwards!

Big Bike for the Heart and Stroke Foundation

Our local offices have participated in the Big Bike Ride, a 30-person bike ride designed to support the vision of healthier lives free of heart disease and stroke awareness across Canada. Teams not only donate to the Heart & Stroke Foundation but get together to warm up and share laughs ahead of their ride.
