Description
Robert Half Finance has a position available with our client located in Vaughan for an Accounting Clerk. This company has a fast-growing team and your responsibilities will include matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, performing data entry tasks and supporting the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This full-time Accounting Clerk position is located in the Concord, Ontario, area.

Your responsibilities:
* Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects
* Use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports
* Assist with other related duties and special projects as assigned
* Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
* Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers
* Support accounts payable by filing vendor invoice and disbursements and by matching filing A/P invoices
* Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts
* Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances

* Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
* Expertise in filing
* Foundational knowledge in accounts payable
* Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience
* Demonstrated knowledge of journal entries
* Adeptness in account reconciliation
* Accounts receivable experience desired
* Expense reports experience
* Excellent data entry skills
* Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
* AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
* 3+ years of accounting experience required
