Your responsibilities as the Payroll Administrator

*Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll
*Manage payroll information requests and questions
*Protect confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence
*Handle payroll record updates by keeping changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
*Handle specific weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for department heads
*Perform other tasks as necessary
*Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines
*Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
*Calculate employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to determine payroll liabilities
*Understand and report necessary changes to payroll operations by maintaining established policies and procedures
*Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
*Payroll information management via collecting, calculating, and entering data
*Able to reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities


Requirements of the Payroll Administrator Position

*Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Payroll
*1+ years working experience in Payroll
*Understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
*Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
*Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
*Understanding of internal controls
*Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
*Prior experience using accounting software
*Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred
*Comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems for 100-500 employees
