Description

Financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting will be among your duties as Senior Accountant. To succeed in this role, you must be proficient at analyzing information. This position is full time with excellent compensation and benefits, as well as the chance to grow.

Responsibilities

- Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external auditors

- Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

- Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

- Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

- Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

- Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

- Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Requirements
- Prior work done in public accounting is desired

- Vow to meet business deadlines

- 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

- Knowledgeable of ERP systems

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis


- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Self-starter and strong ethical standards

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

- SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

- Exceptional time management skills preferred

- Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

- tax experience preferred

- Proven knowledge of internal communications

- General familiarity with auditing

- Corporate tax experience

- Well-founded grasp of financial auditing

- Tax law experience highly desired

- CaseWare experience desired

- Foundational knowledge in GST taxes
