Of those planning to expand their legal teams, 98% plan to staff at least some open roles on a temporary, project or consulting basis.

TOP FULL-TIME LEGAL JOBS BEING ADDED:

1. Lawyer (69%)
2. Legal secretary (62%)
3. Data privacy specialist (59%)

TOP CRITERIA FOR EMPLOYERS WHEN HIRING LAWYERS, ASIDE FROM LEGAL KNOWLEDGE:

1. Practice area expertise (24%)
2. Management experience (23%)
3. Industry/sector knowledge (19%)

PRACTICE AREAS EXPECTED TO OFFER THE GREATEST NUMBER OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES:

General business or corporate law (31%)
Litigation (21%)
Privacy, data security and information law (16%)
