Through local grants and national initiatives, our Leading by Example program helps to ensure that the charitable organizations we support can continue to advance their missions. We have chosen education and workforce development as the primary focus areas of our philanthropic and volunteer initiatives, not only because they are key community needs, but also because we are committed to helping prepare tomorrow’s leaders today. In 2009, Robert Half Canada was recognized with the Community Service Award from the Association of Canadian Search, Employment and Staffing Services (ACSESS). This award is presented to a member company that has shown an extraordinary commitment to, and genuine concern for, the community at large. To be eligible, a company and its employees must be involved in public service activities that return value to the community by supporting charities, and educational and other community groups. Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada The mission of all Boys and Girls Clubs in Canada (BGCC) is to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life. We are pleased to support Boys & Girls Clubs across Canada through a monetary donation and local volunteer efforts. Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Canada (BBBS) Through the Bowling for Big Brothers program, our Greater Vancouver, Greater Calgary and Ottawa offices have helped the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Canada achieve their fundraising goals. Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation In partnership with our U.S. offices and Wear Red Go Red for Women Day, sponsored by the American Heart Association, our Canadian branches participate in a jeans day to raise money for local chapters of the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation . Dress for Success As the organization’s exclusive staffing sponsor, Robert Half International has worked with Dress for Success on a variety of workforce-development opportunities since 2002. We support their international conferences and work with Dress for Success job seekers worldwide to provide workforce development opportunities through online training.
